The Call of the Far North: a month of the wild life in Lapland from November 21 to December 21, 2016

A new adventure is coming... Join us!

This is above the Arctic Circle in the abundance of Lapland Taiga where we are going to spend a month without any contact with the modern world, living in a primitive manner and being directly related to the nature, and in the end meet the solstice, the longest night of the year.

We are going to be two guides to organize this travel, Baptiste and Luka. We are both being passionate with the wild life for a long time and it has become our lifestyle.

After several days of hiking, snowshoeing or skiing, we will build up our camp and organize a common shelter made of what is surrounding us: wood, bark, moss...
Around this shelter will extend out of sight our playground of learning, the Taiga. We will live on fishing, gathering and trapping. Fishing will be our main food source, we will have an occasion to try net and ice fishing, as well as some ancient primitive techniques.

During our adventure, we will try out the expertise and technology of the first people living in similar longitudes, as Sami, Mansi, Komi... But above all we will use our imagination and creativity, knowledge and instinct. We will practice the use of edible and medicinal plants, extraction of fire by friction, animal observation, as well as the primitive arts of crafts, singing, dance and sculpture inspired by listening and observing the wild world.

This experience is for people in good physical condition and for those who are ready to stay away from the comforts of the modern world. It is important to note that this time of year is the beginning of winter and the weather can be hard … but It is also part of the game.

Participation in the Immersion is 600 euros per person for the full month, including some equipment, organisation, preparation, preceding location scouting and mapping.
The maximum number of participants is 10 people, including the organizers.

If you want to join this human adventure or to receive more information (list equipment, meet point ...) or ask any questions, call or send a message to Baptiste: 33786075037, bdulaar@gmail.com
